coast of Spain, generally beginning at Tarifa heading
up to the border with Portugal. This part of Spain is
known for its beauty and unspoilt coastline, along with
an ancient Arab history. The coast is not as crowded as
its neighbouring Costa del Sol.

| The
Montecastillo Golf Resort, situated in Cadiz near
Jerez de la Frontera was designed by Jack Nicklaus.
Montecastillo Golf is a beautiful, reasonably
undulated, course with artistically placed lakes
and spectacular elevated tee boxes surrounded
by rolling hills. The finishing 3 holes of this
golf course guarantee thrilling moments. Especially
the 18th par 4 is brilliant. The tee box is situated
on top of a hill. 40 metres lower, the fairway
curves around a lake which is guarding the green.
Montecastillo Golf hosted the 1994 and 1996 Turespaña
Masters Open and has been the venue for the always
exciting final of the European PGA tour, The Volvo
Masters, from 1997 till 2001. The
clubhouse, golfshop and caddie master of Monte
castillo Golf are accommodated in an impressive
Castle. The renown five star luxurious Montecastillo

golf course is conceived to feature soft, undulated

been taken into account for the creation of lakes
and streams. The course will feature a modern
irrigation system with maximun control of the
watering. Specifically, the course will have four
lakes that shall be drained by a system of streams
and slopes that will guide the water to the lowest

golf complex “Sherry Golf Jerez” is composed by
an 18-hole golf course, and nine par 3 holes:

including an illuminated driving range, 2 putting

of tee positions means the golfer may select a
course suitable for his own level of play. The

HOLE COURSE
The 18 championship holes are quite flat and are
therefore suitable to all types of golfer, whether
experienced or not. At some of the holes you'll
find spectacular views out over the Atlantic.
There are a few pretty lakes on the course too.

HOLE COURSE PAR 3
This is a real 9 par three course. It's perfect
for practising short shots. The nine holes have
different distances between them, ranging from
100 to 180 metres. You'll get to use every club
in your bag. The design is basically the same
as the 27 hole course with lakes and bunkers scattered
throughout the course. |

What
a splendid course: holes 1 to 9 have wide fairways
and three lakes. The green of hole 6 is the most
spectacular, it is situated upon the beach. Holes
10 to 18 are bordered by pine trees, without water
hazards.
Course B: the first 9 holes are flat, with a lake
between hole 5, 8 and 9. From hole 10 to 13 is
hillier and offers magnificent views over the
atlantic ocean. Hole 18 has an S-shaped bunker
(Severiano). Various water hazards (there are
six lakes), the abundant vegetation, bunkers,
as well as the ocean breeze made playing more
difficult. The course is interesting for players
of all levels. Round A consists of four holes
Par 3, ten holes Par 4 and four holes Par 5, whereas
round B offers six holes Par 3, six holes Par
4 and six holes Par 5. Both rounds have Par 72. |
